Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Part-time Staff Accountant in Denver, Colorado. This role will be focused on managing general ledger activities and performing detailed cash application matching. This role necessitates heavy use of Excel and will require the individual to be on site three days a week.
Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed cash application matching
• Assist with ongoing projects related to the general ledger
• Utilize Excel for various accounting tasks
• Collaborate with senior GL accountants on various projects
• Manage accounts receivable and account reconciliation processes
• Record and post journal entries
• Maintain and update the general ledger
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Prepare financial management reports
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with General Ledger management
• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries
• Knowledge of Cash Applications processes
• Strong skills in Account Reconciliation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of accounting software and systems
• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
