Description We are seeking a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our team in DEPEW, New York. The role involves preparing, reviewing, analyzing, and presenting monthly trial balance and financial statements, verifying the accuracy of accounting transactions and data, and maintaining internal accounting reports and financial controls. This role is crucial for the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including daily bank statement reconciliations, deposits, auto-withdrawal payments, interest, fees, and transfers.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, analyze and present monthly trial balance and financial statements
• Verify the accuracy of accounting transactions and data
• Maintain and manage various internal accounting reports and financial controls
• Provide analytical support on project assignments through the use of ERP system & other electronic analytical spreadsheet tools and software
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger transactions
• Perform daily bank statement reconciliations, deposits, auto-withdrawal payments, interest, fees, and transfers
• Conduct basic maintenance of accounting functions in the Syteline ERP system
• Utilize skills in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close for day-to-day operations. Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must.
• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations is required.
• Profound knowledge of General Ledger management is essential.
• Ability to manage Journal Entries effectively is needed.
• Candidate must have an excellent command of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in handling Month End Close procedures is mandatory.
