Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Des Moines, Iowa
Description
Robert Half has partnered with an esteemed organization to find an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Des Moines team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing and processing accounts payable, maintaining vendor relationships, and performing account reconciliations. You should be able to multitask effectively and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Processing invoices into the accounting system, verifying accuracy, and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place.
Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements.
Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial and analytical reports.
Facilitating payment processing in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintaining accurate financial files and records.
Responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance, including resolving and reducing accounts payable issues.
Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in the accounts payable or financial accounting domain preferred.
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
