Description
This reputable company is seeking a Controller through Robert Half who has a knack for leading with high standards, positively motivating others, and making critical decisions and have experience taking charge of accounting. The ideal candidate for this position can assisting in the monthly financial close process, producing financial statement analysis to support management, leveraging information systems and establishing efficient processes, and implementing best practices and productivity initiatives company-wide to ensure compliance, efficiency and effectiveness.

The permanent Controller position is situated in the Des Moines, Iowa area.
Requirements - Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Great attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Sales analysis & reporting experience
Well-founded grasp of Monthly Closings
Financial reporting experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Monthly Close Processes
Monthly Reporting experience preferred
Financial reporting experience
Proficiency in Process Improvement
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
