As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is located in Des Moines, Iowa.
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Solid understanding of month end closings
Month-end Reports experience preferred
Adeptness in account analysis
Practical knowledge of Financial Analytics
Background working with Financial Statement
Monthly Account Reconciliation experience highly desired
Month-end Close Activities experience
Strong familiarity with Month-end Journal Entries
Demonstrated knowledge of Ad Hoc Financial Analysis
Financial statement preparation experience highly preferred
General familiarity with financial analysis
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Great attention to detail
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
ERP system experience
Ability to meet deadlines
