Description Financial services industry leader hiring a FULLY REMOTE Tax Manager. In this add to staff Corporate Tax Manager role you will:
o Review reinsurance agreements and other relevant documents to make sure tax considerations are factored into all relevant documents
o Analyze tax impacts of reinsurance transactions and document tax consequences
o Proactively communicate tax impacts and most efficient structuring alternatives
o Collaborate with other members of the reinsurance team to make sure tax impacts are understood and factored into overall reinsurance treaty feasibility analysis
o Work with other members of the tax department to quantify tax impacts
o Determine tax accounting implications of new reinsurance treaties and assist with documenting such implications
o Work with tax compliance team to operationally onboard new reinsurance treaties into tax compliance and financial reporting processes
o Maintain a complete listing of current as well as prior reinsurance treaties as well as historical documents
• Transactional Analysis:
o Manage tax due diligence process of acquisition of new Targets
o Document and quantify tax impacts of new acquisitions, including federal, state, foreign and non-income tax
o Review and provide feedback on all relevant agreements/documents related to the acquisitions
o Determine most tax efficient structures for such acquisitions
o Work with other members of the tax department to operationally onboard such acquisitions
o Complete all tax filings (i.e., Form 8594) associated with such acquisitions
o Research, analyze, quantify and document tax accounting implications of the acquisitions.
o Quantify and document tax impacts of any dispositions
In order to be considered for this role you must have a BA in Accounting, CPA certification and 7+ years related experience, some of which must be research related in the insurance industry. Requirements Tax - Corporate, Tax - Research & Planning
