Description
We are offering a unique opportunity for a PART TIME Accounts Payable Clerk in Des Plaines, Illinois. This role is situated within the telecom industry and will involve processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and other duties related to accounts payable. This is a contract employment opportunity that will provide valuable experience and skills development in a dynamic workplace.
Responsibilities:
• Reconciling accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Managing customer inquiries related to accounts payable
• Processing and coding invoices with precision
• Reviewing and verifying invoices and check requests
• Setting invoices up for payment and tracking expenses and process expense reports
• Preparing and performing check runs
• Posting transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
• Reconciling accounts payable transactions
• Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and issues
• Maintaining vendor files and correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Producing monthly reports and assist with month-end closing.
Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation processes
• Experience in managing accounts payable (AP)
• Strong skills in coding invoices
• Proficient in invoice processing
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent data entry skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• High degree of integrity and confidentiality with financial information
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
