Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Des Plaines, Illinois
Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Des Plaines, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate account records, managing various accounting tasks, and resolving customer inquiries. This role is an integral part of our team, supporting the overall financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and reconcile customer credit applications.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all customer credit transactions.
• Regularly perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare and record journal entries as per business requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial analysis and reporting tasks.
• Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded.
• Use SAP for various accounting functions.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP in all accounting practices. Requirements • Must hold the title of Sr. Accountant or equivalent for at least 2 years
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge and experience in General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of SAP software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• CPA certification is preferred but not required
