Description We are in the process of hiring a Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. The role primarily involves processing patient registrations, maintaining accurate patient records, and resolving patient inquiries in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process patient registrations and intakes
• Maintain up-to-date and precise patient records
• Resolve patient inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure reliability in the performance of tasks and duties
• Utilize data entry skills to handle, process, and manage patient information
• Display strong initiative in managing patient accounts and taking appropriate action
• Work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing demands
• Use industry knowledge to improve processes and enhance patient experience
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and other healthcare professionals
• Possess the ability to work in an emergency department setting. Requirements • Must have experience in the Healthcare Industry
• Requires excellent Customer Service skills
• Experience with Patient Registration is necessary
• Proficiency in Data Entry is required
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Needs to be familiar with medical terminology
• Should have strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Must be able to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures and insurance practices is a plus
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Should have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
