For an immediate job opening, Robert Half Finance is seeking a skilled and ambitious Accounting Manager for an on-the-rise, growing Private Equity company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. The ideal candidate should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. What you get to do every day

  • Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

  • Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met

  • Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration

  • Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants

  • Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

    Requirements - Proven technical skills

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Recent relevant financial experience

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

  • Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
