Robert Half Payroll Administrator/AP Support in DFW, Texas

Description

A client is looking to staff a Payroll Administrator through Robert Half. You will contribute to the timely and accurate payroll production for employees as the Payroll Administrator. Key responsibilities

  • Handle quarterly and year-end payroll reports

  • Follow current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting

  • Prepare voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities

  • Review payroll areas, fringe benefit reporting, and pay practices related to FLSA to determine how those practices apply to advise management

  • Check data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave

  • Help staff with PTO accruals, wage deductions, fringe benefits, general questions related to payroll, and other pay related issues

  • Establish timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles

  • Advance internal business partners, Information Technology, and Human Resources to ensure security protocols for pay systems

  • Establish systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data

  • Operate regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger

    Requirements - Command of Reconcile Payroll

  • Payroll Tax experience

  • Proven knowledge of Payroll Taxes

  • Strong familiarity with Process Bi-weekly Payroll

  • Experience with Payroll Tax Reporting

  • General familiarity with Paycom

  • Full Cycle Payroll experience desired

  • Well-founded grasp of Accounts Payable (AP)

    • Qualified in HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
  • 2+ years of payroll experience

    • Background in garnishments, various withholdings, and processing liens

    • FPC or CPP will be vital
