There's currently a vacancy at a thriving Manufacturing company for an experienced Senior Accountant on a full-time basis in the Little Elm, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers you great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Manufacturing field and is located in DFW, Texas.
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Requirements - Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Proficient in ERP systems
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong time management skills preferred
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
