We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Senior Accountant with drive and experience at a growing Private Equity company in the Irving, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers you great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. We are looking for a candidate that possess excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the successful growth of the firm. Located in DFW, Texas, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Private Equity field.

Responsibilities

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

  • Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

  • Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

  • Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

    Requirements - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Efficient in ERP systems

  • Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Skilled at time management

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
