Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Doral, Florida
Description
The Payroll Specialist is in charge of overseeing all tasks required to achieve the company's payroll processing goals. This includes managing relations with external auditors and governmental agencies at both state and federal levels. In this position, you will also offer customer service to our internal customers regarding all payroll-related issues such as tax, garnishments, and any other payroll inquiries.
Overview of duties:
Compile payroll data including garnishments, accrued time-off, insurance, and 401(k) deductions
Enter garnishments, missed punches, bonuses, commissions, expense reimbursements in system
Download information from electronic time clocks, ensure completeness and accuracy
Contact relevant supervisors for any missed times
Reallocate hours in the system
Process bi-weekly payroll data transfer to Time and Attendance
Compile internal management reports from payroll system software
Scan and upload payroll report in the N drive, email it to PMs
Download biweekly payroll report, send it to controller and CFO
Create bi-weekly worksheet for property controller
Generate recruiting bill back reports
Update all W4 forms
Edit time transactions for any missing or incorrect punches; maintain employee information in time clock system
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
Must have experience with UKG software
Minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll role, encompassing both analytical and administrative tasks
Previous experience with the I-9 verification and completion process
Capability to manage uncertainty and adapt to unforeseen changes
Prior involvement with the implementation of payroll systems
Proficient to expert-level skills in Excel
