The Opportunity:

Our client, a reputable healthcare organization, is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. This leadership role is pivotal in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end and year-end closing, financial analysis, payroll, accounts payable, and budget management. Reporting to the Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and driving key projects to support the organization’s goals.

Your Role:

Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Cash Oversight:

• Supervise finance team members to ensure adherence to accounts payable policies and efficient disbursement processes.

• Manage invoice approval systems and vendor setups, ensuring accurate classifications and timely 1099 filings.

• Oversee payroll processes, working closely with HR and payroll vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Financial Reporting and General Ledger Management:

• Take charge of month-end close activities, including journal entry reviews and account reconciliations.

• Provide insightful financial reporting and forecasts to support leadership decisions.

• Lead the preparation of budgets, external audits, and compliance reporting, ensuring deadlines are met.

Leadership and Team Development:

• Manage and mentor a skilled accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Delegate responsibilities effectively while identifying opportunities for team growth and development.

• Communicate key updates to the team and address training needs to ensure operational success.

  Requirements

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• 7+ years of professional accounting experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.

• Background in the healthcare industry is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel skills) and experience with accounting software, such as Dynamics SL; knowledge of Paycom is a bonus.

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

This position is onsite with some flex around start and finish time - 8-4, 9-5pm.
