Description

If you are a Controller looking for work where you will have broad business engagement and impact, Robert Half's new position might be right for you! We are looking for Controller candidates who can manage the process to ensure that models are correct and are fully accrued each month, verify and hold the operations team accountable to ensure end to end incentive processing, and related financial controls are operating effectively. Based in Dover, Delaware, this Controller position will be a short-term contract engagement. You may be interested in this position if you want to work in a very dynamic and high-profile area with significant visibility at executive management level.

Key responsibilities

  • Reach understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners

  • Supervise reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes and tools for the accountable programs

  • Analyze and observe controls to ensure they are effectively designed and operating in partnership with compliance

  • Work closely with Treasury to provide timely cash flow forecasts

  • Ongoing review of actual spend against budget and direct necessary actions needed for any expected shortfalls

  • Support SOX controls through the collation of evidence and qualitative discussion of monthly financial results across global programs

    Requirements

  • Background in virtual engagement with global teams around the world and being a leader across finance teams

  • Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Implement and improve changes in procedures immediately

  • Capable of working in office and accounting computer systems

  • Comprehensive knowledge of bank reconciliations

  • Good understanding of ERP system is highly valued

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or other relevant field

    • CPA and/or CMA preferred
