Robert Half Account Manager in Downers Grove, Illinois

Description We are opening a new position in Downers Grove, Illinois, for an Account Manager. This role involves managing and developing customer portfolio performance, improving customer service, and supporting business development managers. The Account Manager will also be responsible for managing customer enquiries, creating an optimal environment for success, and ensuring clear and timely communication with stakeholders. Account Manager experience in the commercial collections industry is a MUST. This position is hybrid.

Responsibilities: • Proactively manage all customer communication, keeping customers informed about all aspects of the services provided within agreed service levels. • Act as a key customer interface, responsible for revenue generation and risk management. • Work closely with other departments to enhance customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery. • Manage and coordinate customer enquiries to ensure an appropriate level of support. • Support Business Development Managers in developing customer relations and retaining existing customers. • Develop existing accounts to increase revenue opportunities. • Utilize available resources, tools, and data to create an environment conducive to success. • Manage portfolio effectively to optimize results. • Maintain excellent communication, both verbal and written, with internal and external stakeholders, providing appropriate and proactive updates. • Work closely with other teams to identify cross-sell and upskill opportunities. • Demonstrate high customer orientation and focus, engaging and interacting with new and existing customers through various channels. • Exhibit excellent time management and organization skills, working quickly and accurately to adapt to new insights. • Show flexibility, enthusiasm, and high motivation, able to work from own initiative. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Account Manager role or similar position in the commercial collection industry required. • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services. • Experience in using CRM and Management Systems. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Demonstrated experience in Billing Functions. • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proven track record in delivering exceptional Customer Service. • Ability to drive Revenue Generation and Customer retention. • Experience in Portfolio Management. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Demonstrated ability to maintain a detail oriented demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
