Position: Help Desk Manager

Target Salary: up to 85k-95k plus

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, California (this position will be fully remote for the time but will go onsite once things settle so local candidates only right now – will have a hybrid schedule)

Please note: this is a direct hire (not contract)

Help Desk Manager

A direct client of Robert Half Technology is looking for a well-rounded, Help Desk Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis in an effort to refine and grow their team. Our client is in the SaaS industry and the growth of their business is relying on the further development of their current team and massive growth during this time.


· At least 3 years' experience in a Service Desk and Desktop Support role, where you learned the nuances of IT Support

· At least 2 years' experience managing a Service Desk team – hiring, coaching, and reviewing the staff

· At least 2 years' experience supporting retail stores

· ITIL Foundation Certification preferred

· Passion for Customer Support – A drive to help end-users get what they need to do their jobs the best they can. A sense of satisfaction assisting end-users in getting what they need on time

· Experience helping Mac and PC users, in person and using tools such as JAMF and Intune

· Time spent supporting design studios using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud

· Experience with the standard helpdesk ticketing systems focused on ITIL

· Basic knowledge of Wired/Wireless networks, VPN, Collaboration tools (Chat and Video Conferencing), A/V devices, and conference room systems.

· Support experience with Office365 Exchange and Teams, all major browsers, 3rd party popular applications, encryption software, anti-virus solutions, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDIs), DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, file and printing services, shared drives, and SharePoint

· Ability to coordinate and communicate at all levels within the organization – Business Stakeholders, Vendors, Suppliers, Senior Managers, and Execs

· Prioritization Skills – The ability to analyze support requests and prioritize them based on impact and department affected

· Discipline – The discipline to actively manage help desk tickets and internal IT tasks without getting distracted by email, chat, or other ad-hoc communication
