Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the retail industry, based in Dublin, California. This role involves meticulous work in the processing of employee terminations, data entry, and handling payroll matters. As a Payroll Clerk, you'll be communicating extensively, primarily via email, with retail stores and ensuring efficient and accurate processing of their payroll needs.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process employee terminations in the PeopleSoft system.
• Handle various methods of payments at the stores such as Pay Card and Petty Cash.
• Review and input termination data into PeopleSoft from the "wire report".
• Enter necessary details such as termination date, reason, and final pay information into PeopleSoft.
• Export hours from PeopleWorks into PeopleSoft for final payment processing.
• Review final termination reports in PeopleWorks and take necessary actions.
• Ensure efficient communication with retail stores, primarily through email.
• Handle peak periods professionally such as back to school and holiday seasons.
• Maintain a steady workflow under pressure due to the repetitive nature of the work.
• Utilize your skills in PeopleSoft, Data Entry, and Manual Payroll to ensure smooth operations. Requirements
• Proficient in using PeopleSoft for various payroll functions
• Demonstrated skills in data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience in manual payroll processing
• Understanding of payroll laws and regulations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
