Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Dublin, California. As part of our team in the retail industry, you will be handling multiple responsibilities related to payroll operations and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage the termination details of employees, ensuring the accuracy of data entered into PeopleSoft.

• Regularly review and evaluate the "wire report" for any discrepancies or issues.

• Ensure the accurate and timely entry of termination data, including termination date, reason, and final pay information into PeopleSoft.

• Regularly review final termination reports in PeopleWorks and export hours into PeopleSoft for final payment processing.

• Process final payments accurately and promptly.

• Communicate with retail stores regularly, predominantly via email, providing professional responses to inquiries.

• Handle a high volume of terminations, particularly during peak seasons such as back-to-school and holiday seasons.

• Use PeopleSoft, Data Entry, and Manual Payroll skills to maintain efficient operations.

• Adapt to the repetitive nature of the work, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Requirements • Prior experience in a Payroll Clerk role within the retail industry is preferred

• Proficiency in PeopleSoft software is required

• Strong data entry skills with a high attention to detail

• Knowledge of manual payroll processes and systems

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Knowledge of payroll legislation and regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in finance or business is a plus.
