ACCOUNTING MANAGER - FIXED ASSETS, INVENTORY AND PAYROLL

You might be a good fit for this position if you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with a focus on fixed assets, payroll, and inventory accounting. This role's duties will require the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. This Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment that is located in the Duluth, Georgia area.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the tracking and management of fixed assets, ensuring accurate recording, depreciation, and disposal processes.

• Conduct regular audits to verify the integrity of fixed assets data and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and record capital expenditures.

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and other deductions.

• Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with Human Resources to address payroll-related inquiries and implement improvements.

• Oversee the accounting for inventory transactions, including valuation, reconciliation, and reporting.

• Implement and maintain effective controls to safeguard inventory assets.

• Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure accurate recording of inventory movements.

• Conduct periodic inventory audits to validate accuracy and identify variances.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements related to fixed assets, payroll, and inventory.

• Provide insightful commentary and variance analysis to support decision-making.

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in fixed assets, payroll, and inventory accounting.

• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.

• Proven experience 8+ in accounting with a focus on fixed assets, payroll, and inventory.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.

• Experience with Sage 100 accounting software is ideal.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to lead and mentor a team.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
