Tim Few is seeking an experienced Controller for a SAP manufacturing client in Spartanburg. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of relevant experience as listed below and a passion for manufacturing!

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing costs of goods and services as they relate to the production process

• Collecting and analyzing production data and plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Evaluating product costs and identifying solutions for any costing issues

• Designing, creating, and implementing best practices and process improvements

• Assisting the finance team in the monthly financial close process including reconciliation and analysis

• Developing and implementing annual departmental budgets and business plans for the plant

• Monitoring and controlling departmental budgets

• Developing periodic annual forecasts

• Managing fixed asset planning and control for the plant

• Collaborating with the Logistics Manager on inventory discrepancies and problem resolution

• Coordinating annual physical inventory and cycle counts

• Serving as the local expert for the plant production system

• Preparing relevant journal entries for month-end/year-end closing and coordinating with the corporate accounting team

• Performing additional duties as needed and assigned.

This role requires skills in Accounting Functions, Budget Processes, SAP, Annual Forecasts, Inventory Reconciliation, Fixed Assets, KPI Reporting, and Cost Analysis.

Requirements • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions within the Automotive industry

• Proficiency in Budget Processes and ability to manage financial planning

• Proficiency in SAP software for financial management and operations

• Experience in generating Annual Forecasts and financial reporting

• Strong skills in Inventory Reconciliation, ensuring accurate accounting of automotive parts and products

• Experience in managing Fixed Assets within the automotive industry

• Ability to generate and analyze KPI Reporting for performance management

• Solid understanding and experience in Cost Analysis, with a focus on reducing expenses and increasing profitability.
