Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Durham, North Carolina

Description

Robert Half has partnered with an international manufacturing company headquartered in Durham, North Carolina to assist them in hiring an experienced Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of corporate/public accounting experience and exposure to manufacturing, Operating within the Hi Tech Engineering sector, this role offers a hybrid work schedule. As the Accounting Manager you will be tasked with overseeing financial operations, ensuring precision and adherence to standards across all accounting functions. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial stability of our expanding organization.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage accounts receivable ensuring promptness in billing and collections

• Track and manage inventory levels and associated accounting procedures.

• Reconcile inventory transactions, aligning them with production schedules and financial records.

• Oversee the monthly close process to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Maintain the fixed assets and depreciation entries.

• Process bi weekly payroll

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to manage financials

Requirements

• Proven experience in the manufacturing industry as an Accounting Manager

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Demonstrated expertise in auditing procedures.

• Extensive experience in month-end close processes.

• Profound knowledge of general ledger maintenance.

• Ability to prepare financial statements accurately and within deadlines.

• Experience in monthly financial reporting to provide clear insight into company finances.

• Familiarity with fixed assets and capability to maintain fixed asset records.

• Proficiency in inventory accounting to track and manage stock levels.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.

• Experience in bi-monthly payroll processing.

• Proficient in using a leading ERP system for various accounting tasks.
