Robert Half Accounts Payable Analyst in Durham, North Carolina

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This role is vital for the efficient management of operating expenses for multiple clinics/locations. The position is fully remote, and the successful candidate will be able to adapt to changes and manage their tasks independently. This role involves heavy data entry and the handling of unique situations that may arise.

Responsibilities:

• Manage invoice processing for operating expenses across multiple locations

• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure they are coded correctly for payment

• Utilize analytical skills to prepare and analyze various AP reports for accurate execution of financial filings

• Develop, direct, and evaluate accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure adherence to internal and external controls and policies

• Ensure compliance with state and government regulatory standards and IRS related regulations

• Maintain vendor files and coordinate year-end issuance to ensure compliance

• Train new hires and support cross-training of team members on department processes and system enhancements and upgrades

• Utilize MS Teams for communication and collaboration with team members

• Leverage Workday Financial software for efficient task completion, if possible

• Utilize strong data entry skills to ensure accurate and efficient task completion. Requirements

• Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and financial regulation

• Ability to review and execute internal control policies and procedures

• Experience with Workday, Microsoft Teams, and other relevant software

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in risk management

• Capability to perform ad hoc financial analysis and KPI reporting

• Understanding of hiring processes and workstation support

• Ability to liaise and negotiate with vendors

• Experience in planning and executing system upgrades

• Knowledge of coding and policy development

• Ability to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

• Experience in training staff on accounts payable procedures and policy

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred

• Prior experience in an Accounts Payable role would be advantageous
