Robert Half is actively searching for an earnest, resourceful Controller to join the innovative team at an prominent SaaS company. In this leadership role, you will manage an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems, and guiding departmental staff. This permanent position is for a Controller who will work remotely.
Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month
Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation
Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Solid understanding of US GAAP
CPA experience required
Foundational knowledge in IFRS Accounting
Proficiency in financial reporting
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Strong attention to detail
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
