Description
We are seeking a meticulous Copywriting Associate to join our team, focusing on proofreading and copyediting. This role primarily involves reviewing and editing various marketing assets to ensure accuracy and consistency across all materials. Although this position does not involve original writing, you will work closely with writers, designers, and other team members to provide critical editorial support.
Key Responsibilities:
Proofread and Edit Marketing Materials: Review and edit a variety of marketing assets, including flyers, brochures, guides, presentations, emails, and landing pages, ensuring accuracy in grammar, spelling, consistency, and compliance with BCBSNC and BCBSA brand guidelines.
Ensure Brand Consistency: Safeguard that all copy aligns with established BCBSNC voice and style guides, including regulatory and trademark requirements, across print, digital, Medicare, and DEI content.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with copywriters, marketing consultants, legal/compliance team members, and others to produce error-free and compliant final documents.
Manage Workflow and Turnaround: Respond to business needs with a typical 48-hour turnaround for most assignments, with adjustments made for rush requests and longer documents.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: A degree in English, Journalism, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow brand and style guidelines closely. Familiarity with AP style guidelines is a plus.
Experience: Previous proofreading and copyediting experience required.
