Description
If you are an outstanding Financial Analyst, you might be right for the position Robert Half is filling for a fast-growing company. In addition to measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you will conduct financial modeling on a variety of financial products in this Financial Analyst role. You will also be responsible for advising management on the distribution of resources to best complete objectives and preparing reports for management. As a key business partner on a dynamic team, you will work in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. As the Financial Analyst, your main duties will include supporting strategic and financial planning methods, building long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. You will also help with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. This Financial Analyst role, which is located in the Durham, North Carolina, is a permanent employment opportunity.
Your responsibilities
Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Survey performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources r
Ensure plans are properly executed by working with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations
Produce and manage forecasting reports
Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary
Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations
Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)
Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

Requirements
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Financial planning & analysis experience is required
Ad Hoc Analysis experience
Knowledge of financial modeling
Comprehensive knowledge of budget forecasting
