We are seeking a driven and detail-orientated Grant Analyst to join their 100% remote team. The ideal candidate would be an individual with substantial knowledge and experience in federal grants and budget administration. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Job Description:

As a Grant Analyst, you will take an active role in financial management, grants administration, and government grants forecasting and budgeting. You will use your quantitative prowess and analytical capability to conduct in-depth funding analysis, monitor grant funds utilization, and ensure compliance with regulatory grant requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administer, monitor and manage government grants to ensure efficient and effective grant use.

  2. Develop and maintain grant budgets, provide accurate grant forecasts, and perform financial analysis of grant projects.

  3. Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results against plans and forecasts.

  4. Prepare financial reports on grant activity and provide recommendations as needed.

  5. Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the grant awards.

  6. Follow-up on outstanding funding issues with granting agencies.

  7. Manage indirect cost rates, ensuring accurate accounting and application throughout the organization.

  8. Utilize various financial software such as Excel and QuickBooks to streamline processes and increase efficiency.

  9. Conduct research and gather data to support grant acquisition and retention.

  10. Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant administration, preferably in non-profit organizations.

  3. Strong knowledge of government grant processes, regulatory requirements, and budgeting.

  4. Proven expertise with financial software applications, such as Excel and QuickBooks.

  5. Experience with indirect cost rates.

  6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
