Description
We are offering a part-time contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the education industry, based in Durham, North Carolina. The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department with administrative tasks, system management, and benefits coordination.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the administration of HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Facilitate the enrollment of employees into benefits programs.
• Utilize HRIS for data entry and management, ensuring all employee records are up-to-date and confidential.
• Support the HR department in implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Handle employee relations issues, escalating them to the appropriate HR personnel when necessary.
• Assist in the administration of compensation programs.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
• Use Paycor for various HR and financial functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Use ATS for recruitment and hiring processes.
• Utilize HRMS and About Time for effective HR management and time tracking.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Paycor- preferred
• Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Knowledge of About Time software
• Ability to manage Benefit Functions
• Experience in Compensation Administration
• Demonstrated understanding of Compliance in the education sector
• Strong skills in Employee Relations
• Experience in an educational setting is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
