A client Robert Half has partnered with is looking for a talented Senior Payroll Analyst to manage the production of accurate and timely payroll for employees, communicate effectively, and deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of payroll experience, including international payroll. Responsibilities
Prepare systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data
Advance internal business partners, Information Technology, and Human Resources to ensure security protocols for pay systems
Manage regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger
Regulate quarterly and year-end payroll reports
Inquire fringe benefit reporting, pay practices related to FLSA, and other payroll areas to determine how those practices apply to advise management
Go over data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave
Give support to staff with general questions related to payroll, PTO accruals, wage deductions, fringe benefits and other pay related issues
Adhere to current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting
Deal with voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities
Warrant timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles
Requirements - Knowledge in an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
Compensation and commissions experience highly preferred
Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience preferred
General familiarity with Special Payroll Deductions
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) experience
International Payroll experience preferred
Practical knowledge of Process Biweekly Payroll
Demonstrated knowledge of Payroll Tax Returns
Garnishments payroll experience
Solid understanding of HRIS Payroll System
Adeptness in Payroll Tax Reporting
- CPP or FPC is preferential
5+ years of payroll experience
- Knowledge in processing liens, various withholdings, and garnishments
