Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Eagle Point, New Jersey
With the aid of Robert Half, one of our clients is looking for a permanent Full Charge Bookkeeper to contribute to their team in the Central/Southern, New Jersey area. This Full Charge Bookkeeper will handle payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, clerical staff, and full cycle A/P. The ideal Full Charge Bookkeeper should have strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting systems, excellent project management skills, and be highly organized.
Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Condense business license and gross receipts
Administer monthly accounting close
Proficient in credit card management and reconciliation
Register budget transfers
Arrange subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Direct Accounts Receivable
Manage Accounts Payable
Group sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Arrange monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Alternative special projects as requested
Formulate cash flow projections, as needed
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
- 5+ years of related experience- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well
Comprehension of Directs Incoming Calls
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Word
Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Good understanding of account reconciliation
Prior experience with Creative Problem Solving
Previous experience working with auditing
Quality experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proven knowledge of Invoice Processing
Well-founded grasp of commissions
General familiarity with Sales Tax
Earlier work involving Check Deposit
Microsoft Excel experience required
Cost Allocation experience highly desired
Wide ranging experience with general ledger
QuickBooks Pro experience desired
Skills in mail processing
Experience with Multi Task
Deep understanding of Microsoft Outlook
Hands-on experience with Communication Skills
