Robert Half Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in East Dubuque, Illinois


The FP& A Manager will be responsible for delivery of value-added analysis to the organization that aligns with the business’s strategic objectives. The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for building key relationships with internal and external customers, as well as ensure compliance and drive efficiencies. In addition, the role will participate on projects to support new company initiatives, process improvement and automation.


  • Manage the FP& A team and hiring as necessary to support the growth of the business, outlining roles & responsibilities and driving effective and efficient onboarding; provide coaching, mentoring and training for all analysts on an ongoing basis

  • Responsible for the preparation and consolidation of annual financial plan, quarterly business results and analysis

  • Lead monthly reporting activities including preparing financial statement reports, variance analysis, product/customer analysis and management reporting

  • Working with the key leaders of the business, develop and provide financial analysis, interpretive reports, business metrics and financial guidance to sales, operations and marketing groups to ensure they have the financial information and insight necessary to achieve goals and improve efficiency and profitability – specifically analytics and modeling around gross margin, productivity, operations and value added services.

  • Work on special projects such as capital investment ROI decisions, investment performance analysis, Margin analysis and Board related materials and ad hoc analysis as necessary as determined by leadership

  • Maintains and develops appropriate analytical tools including financial models and other financial reporting software that will support the business

  • Function as an effective member of the team, assisting co-workers as needed and learning from colleagues and supervisors; support the goals of the organization; demonstrate initiative in the interest of the company and its customers

  • Uphold the values of the company and its culture, consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity and the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct; conduct oneself in a manner that reflects favorably on the organization. Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion in any disclosure of information related to the company and its endeavors.
