Robert Half Safety and Health Specialist in East Earl, Pennsylvania


Growing client located in the Reading, PA area is looking to hire a Safety and Health Specialist with manufacturing industry expertise. This Safety and Health Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and health programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. In this role, you will investigate mishaps, maintain hygiene programs, prepare new employee health and safety orientations, oversee inspections and audits to identify hazards, conduct safety training sessions, and monitor changes in legislation and implement necessary adjustments. The ideal Safety and Health Specialist for this role should have excellent administrative skills, leadership skills, and have the ability to maintain confidentiality.

How you will make an impact

· Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures

· Maintain detailed accident reports

· Communicate policies and procedures

· Conduct safety trainings

· Oversee inspections and audits

· Create emergency response plans

· Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous materials

· Keep in compliance with OSHA regulations

· Prepare reports as needed

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety training, inspections, and related activities


The ideal Safety and Health Specialist will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or similar but NOT required.

Other requirements for the Safety and Health Specialist role include and are not limited to:

· 3+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel

· Proven occupational safety experience
