Robert Half Systems Engineer in East Hartford, Connecticut
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer in East Hartford, Connecticut. This role falls within the IT industry and requires an individual who is skilled in managing technical teams and promoting the use of automation for efficiency in operations.
Responsibilities:
• Guide and develop the technical team to ensure efficient operations
• Streamline work management processes to optimize productivity
• Foster collaboration across the organization to achieve set goals
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and solve problems to maintain operational efficiency
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
• Apply advanced knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki design and deployment
• Uphold network security best practices to protect company data
• Leverage knowledge of AWS, Azure VPN, virtual firewall, and networking expertise to enhance system security
• Manage and develop technical staff to ensure continuous skill development
• Apply understanding of automation to promote efficiency in operations. Requirements • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role in the IT industry
• Proficient knowledge of Cisco Technologies
• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies including AWS Technologies
• Working knowledge of Database management
• Experience with Dell Technologies
• Understanding of AB Testing and Cluster Analysis
• Experience with Active Directory
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
