Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts
Description
We are seeking an Accounting Manager / Supervisor to join our team in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role involves overseeing all accounting practices and providing advice on transactional details. You will be collaborating with various teams and clients, preparing and monitoring financial reports, and ensuring ethical financial practices.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with financial teams to assist with all accounting practices and advise on transactional details
• Attend client calls and deliver verbal reporting and analysis on a regular basis
• Prepare, issue, and monitor Construction Draw Packages in collaboration with Project Managers and Project Lenders
• Create and maintain accurate and complete financial reports for clients including Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements, Trial Balance and General Ledger, Cash Flow Statements, and Budget vs. Actual
• Ensure client's financial transactions are consistent with good accounting practices
• Contribute to year-end 1099 filings, tax, and audit preparations
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for clients and recommend improvements
• Foster good working relationships and rapport with both clients and team members
• Utilize skills in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Billing Functions, Month End Close, Journal Entry Preparation, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, GAAP Accounting
Requirements
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Auditing procedures
• Proficient in Month End Close operations
• Expertise in Journal Entry Preparation
• Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting.
