Robert Half Pension Plan Administrator in EAST SYRACUSE, New York

Description Robert Half is currently recruiting a Benefits Administrator for our highly respected client. The benefits administrator will direct and plan the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs. In this role, the administrator will continually research new benefits programs, make improvements to existing programs, and supervise and monitor benefits administration. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes

  • Construct benefit appropriate programs such as insurance, wellness etc.

  • Serve as primary relationship stakeholder with all our service providers

  • Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with the accounting department

  • Manage daily benefits processing

  • Coach employees on their benefit options

  • Arrange leaves of absence and process claims or requests (medical operations, worker's compensation etc.)

  • Support organization to comply with applicable government regulations

  • Lead enrollments and determine employee eligibility

  • Monitor transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration

  • Develop deep knowledge of employee benefits plans and vendors Requirements - 3+ years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or similar relevant field

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

  • Skilled with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

  • Knowledge of benefits contract language

  • Hands-on experience with data analysis
