Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Eatontown, New Jersey
Description • Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting and application of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger and customer accounts • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted, credits are properly applied, and miscellaneous differences cleared • Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date • Researching and resolving account discrepancies • Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status Requirements • Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk or accountant • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles • Hands-on experience with accounting software • Exposure to multi-currency transactions preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, required • Experience in Microsoft Great Plains preferred • Customer service orientation • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
