Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Eau Claire, WI (Hybrid w/ Local Travel)
Salary: $70-100k/year DOE
Robert Half is seeking a knowledgeable Network Engineer for our client's role in Eau Claire, WI. The position involves interfacing with the clients while managing the technical aspects of multiple projects, offering network designs that cater to the needs of public safety and utility industries.
Role Responsibilities:
Manage various network services and networks like TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP
Thoroughly comprehend networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, and printers.
Analyze networks, identify problems, and provide effective solutions to ensure efficient operation.
Design, implement, and debug Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
Explain technical material to team members as well as non-technical staff.
Review networking requirements on awarded contracts and provide necessary inputs.
Communicate effectively with customers to guarantee all project requirements are met.
Generate necessary documents such as Network Topology Diagrams, IP plans, and networking test plans.
Configure routers, switches, firewalls including MPLS setup.
Troubleshoot complicated networks, offering quality services both in-field and factory/staging environments
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a similar technical degree, with 2+ years of related work experience.
Or an Associate degree with 4+ years of related work experience.
Extensive comprehension of network services such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP
Practical knowledge of networking systems like LAN, firewalls, routers, printers.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Willingness to travel domestically (50% based on location and project need)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with RF, system design, networking, configuration, system programming
CCNA Certification
