Job Title: Cash Application Specialist
Location: Eden Prairie, MN (Onsite initially, then Remote)
Job Type: Full-Time
Introduction: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cash Application Specialist to join a dynamic team in Eden Prairie. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately applying incoming payments to customer accounts, ensuring that all transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner. This position will begin onsite in Eden Prairie, MN, with the opportunity to transition to a remote work arrangement after an initial onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately apply cash receipts to customer accounts in the accounting system.
Review customer payment details to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Process customer payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.
Assist with account reconciliations and work closely with AR and collections teams.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payments and transactions.
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to customer payments.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient cash flow management.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes as required.
Provide support for other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, or accounting.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to handle high volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with internal teams and customers.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial information.
