Robert Half Application Development Project Manager/Lead in Edison, New Jersey

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Application Development Project Manager/Lead in the Healthcare/NHS industry. The role is based in New Jersey. As an Application Development Project Manager/Lead, you will be responsible for managing various development teams, mentoring employees, managing contractors, and ensuring high quality delivery standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead various system and software development teams, as well as database development work groups.

• Oversee the hiring, training, performance management, and professional development of team members.

• Coach and mentor team members on development practices, policies, procedures and technology-related regulatory practices.

• Select and manage contractors from various locations, both nationally and internationally.

• Ensure the development team maintains high-quality delivery standards and measures progress through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Lead the planning, design and build of high availability next-gen systems through measured, studied and evidence-driven practices.

• Facilitate creative problem solving with internal and external resources through activities such as agile and R& D best practices.

• Work with the development team and other technical resources to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Provide assistance and support to programming staff during peak production or testing times.

• Communicate projected timelines, develop applications according to customer specifications, and provide detailed documentation of project work.

• Plan and oversee system and database tuning, environment upgrades, patching and other administrative functions

Requirements • Significant experience in the Healthcare/NHS industry

• Proven track record as an Application Development Project Manager/Lead

• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies and Microsoft Azure

• Experience with Content Management System (CMS) and Contract Management

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies

• Experience in auditing and implementing best practices

• Proficiency in Change Management processes

• Coding skills, particularly in JavaScript

• Familiarity with MVC Framework
