Description
We are partnering with a reputable construction company seeking an experienced Billing Specialist. This role is critical for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing within a construction environment, supporting various projects and clients. This position is contract or contract-to-hire, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and process client invoices based on project contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing terms.
Review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, to verify billing accuracy.
Collaborate with project managers and accounting teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
Maintain organized billing records and documentation for audits and financial reporting.
Assist in managing billing schedules and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely collections.
Generate and analyze billing reports to track project profitability and cash flow.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry (required).
Familiarity with construction billing processes, including AIA billing and progress billing.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and clients.
