Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in El Paso, Texas, for a Controller in the manufacturing industry. This role primarily involves overseeing a small team, handling general ledger and cost accounting functions, managing company cash flows, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team responsible for handling both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.

• Take a hands-on approach to General Ledger and cost accounting functions.

• Perform adjusting entries, General Ledger reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.

• Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Generate financial reports and play a leading role in budgeting and forecasting.

• Manage the accounting aspects of inventory management.

• Oversee cash flow management and treasury operations of the company.

• Prepare and file sales and property taxes, 1099s, and W2s.

• Coordinate income tax filing and audits, providing necessary data to CPAs.

• Handle customer credit management and oversee collection processes.

• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Process payroll and verify payroll tax.

• Manage insurance policies and renewals.

• Ensure company compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to accounting, tax, payroll, and insurance.

• Act as a liaison for banks, IRS & local tax offices, tax consultants, auditors, and government agencies.

• Collaborate closely with international counterparts.

• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar capacity

• Demonstrated experience in handling all Accounting Functions

• Extensive knowledge in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven ability in conducting Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes and General Ledger

• Experience in making Adjusting Journal Entries and performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to manage Month End Close and Financial Reporting

• Proficiency in Inventory Controls and Inventory Accounting

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Knowledge in Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Proven skills in Cash Flow Management

• Experience in managing Payroll and Payroll Taxes

• Demonstrated ability in Credit Administration

• Familiarity with Sales Tax procedures

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Dynamics GP software
