In this leadership role, you will manage an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. How you will make an impact
Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
Analyze deliverables of self and team to confirm they meet client expectations
Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation
Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

Ideal candidate will bring:
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or other business related field
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while
remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller
- Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience
Proficiency in financial statements consolidation
Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting
Foundational knowledge in general ledger
