Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing all aspects of vendor master data, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable function. This role requires strong analytical skills to lead data cleansing initiatives, manage corporate accounts, and generate financial reports for management.

The is a hybrid position in El Segundo, CA. No out-of-state applicants please.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Master Management:

  • Manage all aspects of vendor master additions and change requests, ensuring compliance with SLAs.

  • Lead data cleansing projects for the Vendor Master Database, validating vendor and remit information.

  • Identify and rectify duplicate vendor entries to maintain database accuracy.

  • Collaborate with management and purchasing teams to optimize vendor management processes.

  • Accounts Payable Operations:

  • Maintain and oversee accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

  • Ensure the accurate and efficient handling of customer credit applications and manage customer credit records.

  • Take appropriate action on customer accounts to resolve discrepancies or delinquencies.

  • Corporate Account Management:

  • Oversee the management of the corporate FedEx account, including adding new accounts and updating for electronic data interchange (EDI) billing as needed.

  • Reporting & Analysis:

  • Generate and compile ad-hoc financial reports for management, providing insights into accounts payable performance.

  • Analyze accounts payable data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.

  • Special Projects & Additional Duties:

  • Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

  • Assist in streamlining and automating accounts payable processes to improve efficiency.

    Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Demonstrated experience in Compliance

• Proficiency in Database management

• Familiarity with Billing processes

• Strong capability in managing Vendors

• Experience in Account Management

• Knowledge of Change Management

• Experience in creating and implementing Validation Plans

• Ability to handle New Accounts

• Experience in managing Service Level Agreements

• Proficiency in Ad Hoc Reporting

• Knowledge of EDI - Electronic Data Interchange

• Experience in Data Cleansing

• Familiarity with Remit processes

• Experience in QA Management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
