We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our clients team as a Legal Biller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing legal billing, ensuring compliance with client guidelines, and maintaining precise financial records. This role requires a keen understanding of legal billing processes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Generate and process accurate and timely client invoices in accordance with billing guidelines and legal industry standards.
Review and verify time entries, expenses, and disbursements for correctness and completeness.
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to obtain necessary information for billing purposes.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and dispute resolution.
Address client billing concerns promptly and professionally, fostering positive relationships.
Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records, including client billing files and supporting documentation.
Monitor and track outstanding invoices, follow up on overdue payments, and provide regular status updates.
Ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines and legal industry regulations.
Stay informed about changes in billing procedures and implement necessary adjustments.
Prepare and distribute financial reports related to billing activities, providing insights to support decision-making.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile billing records.
Utilize legal billing software and other relevant tools to streamline the billing process.
Contribute to the implementation of new technologies or processes to enhance efficiency.
High school diploma required; additional education in accounting or a related field is a plus
Proven experience in legal billing, preferably within a law firm or legal department.
Familiarity with legal billing software and financial management systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
