Description We are in the market for a meticulously organized and detail-focused Sr. Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in ELGIN, Illinois. This role will primarily involve overseeing customer credit applications, maintaining precise customer credit records, and resolving customer credit queries. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary action to collect overdue payments.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintenance of precise customer credit records
• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Monitoring of customer credit accounts to ensure timely payments
• Taking necessary action to collect delinquent payments
• Utilizing software tools such as Excelsius and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations
• Adhering to all company policies and regulations related to finance and credit
• Continuously updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks
• Contributing to the team's effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant in the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Excelsius and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and regulatory standards
• High proficiency in financial software and MS Office
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills with an in-depth understanding of financial trends and business practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
