Description

Robert Half is working with a dynamic and growing organization within the manufacturing industry. They are dedicated to innovation, excellence, and delivering high-quality products/services to their customers. Their multi-plant operations require a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and manage key financial functions across various locations.

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the financial health of the company by overseeing general ledger activities, inventory control, financial reporting, audits, and the month-end close process. This position will work closely with multiple plant locations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Prepare and post journal entries.

Inventory Control:

  • Oversee and manage inventory accounting processes.

  • Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and audits.

  • Implement and monitor controls to ensure accurate inventory reporting.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Generate detailed reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Audits:

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.

  • Prepare audit schedules and documentation.

  • Address audit findings and implement recommendations.

Month-End Close:

  • Lead the month-end closing process for multiple plants.

  • Ensure all financial data is accurate and complete.

  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and accruals.

    Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role within a financial setting.

• Strong knowledge of Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficiency in General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

• Strong problem-solving skills.
