Title: Tax Associate or Senior Tax Associate
Industry: Tax and Financial Planning
Comp: $75k-$95k plus up to 30% bonus plan
Schedule: in-office 5x per week, potential for flex Fridays after busy season

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax professional to join our team in Howard County, Maryland. This role is client facing so excellent oral and written communication skills are required, experience in tax prep (corporate or individual) is required. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and can add to an already fun office vibe, and someone who has a desire to grow into a manager role.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Work with clients on tax planning and expectations.
• Utilize Intuit ProSeries and other relevant software for tax preparation.
• Use Microsoft Office Suites for organizing, maintaining and reporting tax data.
• Provide high-quality customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to tax preparation.
• Implement strategies to maximize client's tax savings.
• Ability to work on complex tax research projects.
• Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reports.
Requirements
• Experience preparing individual tax returns
• Experience with Corporate returns is a plus
• Knowledge of IRS regulations and guidelines is essential
• Prior experience as a Tax Preparer
• Very strong written and oral communication skills
• CPA or EA designation is a plus
