Description
We are seeking a temporary Inventory Clerk for our wholesale distribution center located in Elwood, Illinois. As an Inventory Clerk, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and preparing annual inventory reports. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update inventory records to ensure accuracy
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies
• Prepare and present annual inventory reports
• Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze inventory data
• Collaborate with team members to improve inventory processes
• Resolve inventory issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist in the preparation of annual physical inventories
• Monitor inventory levels and alert management to potential shortages or excesses
• Ensure compliance with inventory processes and procedures
• Support other team members with inventory-related tasks as needed.
Requirements • Must have proficiency in Cycle Count
• Demonstrable experience with Annual Inventory
• Familiarity with Annual Physical Inventories
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience in a wholesale distribution environment is preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Basic math skills for inventory counts
• Comfortable with physical work, as the role may involve moving inventory
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
