Robert Half Manager of Benefits in Emeryville, California
Description We are in search of a Manager of Benefits to join our team in Emeryville, California. This role focuses on overseeing and ensuring compliance with Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations, managing financial aspects of benefits programs, and providing comprehensive support to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee ACA compliance and prepare accurate reports for end-of-year filing.
• Collaborate with Benefits brokers on a regular basis.
• Manage the processing of invoices related to benefits.
• Review and approve life event changes and manage leave of absence requests in line with company policies and regulations.
• Manage the Benefits inbox, responding promptly to employee inquiries and providing comprehensive support regarding benefits-related questions.
• Conduct audits of Health Equity reports (direct bill, COBRA, Commuter) to ensure accuracy.
• Administer and oversee compliance of 401K, providing support to employees as needed.
• Utilize HRIS - UKG (UltiPro) system for benefits administration, though this is not a hard requirement.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills. Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Benefits Administration or related field
• Proficiency in Affordable Care Act (ACA) Reporting
• Proven experience in Leave of Absence management
• Demonstrated ability to use UKG Pro software
• Extensive knowledge in Benefits Coordination
• Experience in managing Benefits Payroll
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to make informed decisions based on data and statistics
• Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
